Differences between Domesticated and Stray cats. It is known that domesticated cats are commonly indoor cats and are well taken care of by their owners. They have proper feeding times and have a well maintained diet. Domestic cats are a lot more people friendly because they were bred since a young age by humans. Typically they have their nails trimmed, are taken to the veterinarian, have proper socialization with children, adults, teenagers and even other animals. Domestic cats are less aggressive as compared to Strays because they grew up in a non aggressive and loving environment. Domestic cats are adopted through animal shelters or through other known adopters. Sometimes even a stray cat can have the possibility of being adopted. This happens very rarely though because there are many cats out there in the world that need loving homes. It is very sad and heartbreaking to see pets that are supposed to be housepets, especially cats, become strays. Stray animals, such as cats live outside and have a rough life. Their lives are full of being in survival mode and trying to live each day finding food, shelter and resources to survive. These cats do not have loving homes and end up being under socialized. They have poor social skills especially with humans because they do not trust them. There are some strays that have learned to accept human help because some humans provide shelter, food and water for these strays. It is known that we as a society need to reduce the amount of stray cats out in the world. Such as neutering and spaying out cats to prevent and further unnecessary reproduction of additional cats which can lead to other cats having no home available. Veterinarians extremely advocate this cause and want many cats to undergo neutering because we can have less stray cats outside. Neutering also has many benefits such as it reduces the risk of reproductive cancer typically cause in cats. It is best to neuter cats during their younger years. Especially when they are a kitten because the surgery being done when they are adults is known to be more painful for the cats and longer to recover. Cats are also funny yet quiet animals but they are known for their kindness and friendliness to humans. It is typically said that cats can also support animals and help humans who have anxiety and face isolation. Cats are extremely sensitive and can sense a human's emotions and can be there for them. It is said that people who prefer cats are introverted and people who prefer dogs are extroverted
